Autumn may have begun officially, but let’s keep the summer going a little longer by having a delicious, vegan BBQ at the end of the day! We are asking all able members of the Hull animal rights community to come together to help make meaningful improvements to one of the local wildlife sanctuaries, Ren’s Rescue. This is an amazing opportunity to connect with nature in a beautiful woodland setting with the resident rescue animals and a community that truly appreciates wildlife. There will be lots to do, although at this early stage of planning we cannot be entirely sure what exactly. Keep an eye on the discussion section of this page for updates. Sensible footwear for the countryside is highly recommended. Bring a packed lunch Tools and gloves are extremely limited so we recommend you bring your own gloves, saws, and garden sheers. The volunteer day will run from 10am to 4:30pm and the BBQ will start right after that. Come and go whenever you like, but if it is your first time volunteering at this site, we recommend you aim to join us at either 10am or 1pm so that you know someone will be up at the entrance to greet you and show you where to go.
