Vigil for the B&K Beagles

Hosted by HART - Hull Animal Rights Team

Sat, Sep 18, 2021, 10:00AM - 02:00PM UTC

Kingston upon Hull,

Hull Animal Rights Team (HART) will hold a vigil in Hull city centre for the beagles and other animals bred at B&K Universal to be tortured and killed in experiments. The outreach event, which will take place on Saturday the 18th of September in Queen Victoria Square, follows protests outside the B&K Universal breeding facility in Grimston on Sunday the 15th of August. This event aims to inform the public about animal testing, while also paying tribute to the thousands of animals bred for abuse, such as being forced to inhale pesticides, ingest toxic chemicals or given heart attacks before they are killed and dissected. We will have some posters and lots of leaflets on the day. However, if you would like to make your own poster against animal testing or B&K universal that would be great too. Dogs are not only welcome, but greatly encouraged to attend this event. We ask all those, attending or not, to follow the link below and ask their local MP to sign EDM 175 to review animal testing. It seems none of Hull’s MPs have so far signed the motion. https://forlifeonearth.eaction.online/ ‘EDM 175 calls for the Government to mandate a rigorous public scientific hearing on animal experiments. This hearing will be judged by experts from the relevant fields of science’.
